Art of Healing Workshops

In the midst of life’s challenges, we rarely pause to tend to the unseen parts of ourselves. The Art of Healing is more than a workshop; it’s a sanctuary for reflection, renewal, and creative expression. Through guided meditation, personal introspection, and ceramic painting, you’ll explore the beauty in imperfection and the power of transformation. In this shared space, healing unfolds—one brushstroke at a time.

About The Art of Healing

Life is filled with change—some moments stretching us, others leaving us in need of renewal. The Art of Healing, inspired by the artist Lanecia Rouse, offers a space to pause, reflect, and mend—both within ourselves and in community.

Through meditative practices, personal introspection, and ceramic painting, this immersive experience guides participants on a creative journey of restoration. With each thoughtful brushstroke, the act of creation becomes a reflection of resilience and healing, reminding us that beauty can emerge from every stage of our story.

This 2.5-hour workshop is designed for non-profits, faith communities, and therapist groups seeking a meaningful, hands-on experience that fosters connection, renewal, and resilience. No artistic experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to engage in personal and collective transformation.

What to Expect:

Guided Reflection – Begin with a calming meditation and gentle prompts to quiet the mind and invite introspection.
Hands-On Creative Expression – Using ceramics as a canvas, engage in an intuitive painting process that symbolizes acceptance and belonging.
A Supportive Community Space – Share in an affirming, inclusive, and judgment-free environment where personal stories and creative expression intertwine.
A Lasting Takeaway – Walk away not just with your painted ceramic bowl, but with a renewed sense of self, connection, and healing.

Debbie (Berthoud, CO)

"The Art of Healing was AMAZING! I’m 67 and it was the best workshop I believe I’ve ever attended! There were so many new friendships formed and connections made. We shared laughter, tears, and vulnerabilities. And thanks to Amber’s sensitive guidance, it happened seamlessly, without any pressure to perform. I walked away knowing myself better and accepting things I had previously seen as flaws."

"It is no exaggeration to say that Amber's events have been some of the most healing experiences of my life. Amber is a master at encouraging without pushing, understanding how to move a group through an experience, and bringing people together in a way that facilitates deep bonding and the kind of relationships that last.”

"There is something deeply nourishing about showing up somewhere and feeling immediately nurtured by a host and a space. The care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail that flows with Amber is one-of-a-kind. Amber's approach to hosting is genuine, loving, and grounded in healing, inclusion and comfort for all participants and their unique needs."

Healing is definitely a journey full of many experiences. Creative expression can enhance that journey and aid the body in processing trauma, pain and suffering. I see events such as The Art of Healing as essential considering the spaces many of us find ourselves in the world today.
