PRESENTATION STYLE:

Unashamed: Coming Out as LGBTQ+
LGBTQ+ youth who face high levels of parental rejection are eight times more likely to attempt suicide and six times more likely to experience high levels of depression than their LGBTQ+ peers who have parental support. Coming out as a queer person, especially if you come from a conservative faith background, can feel extremely daunting and come at a very high cost. This workshop takes a holistic approach that supports LGBTQ+ people of all ages who are considering coming out or are currently in the process, giving them the tools they need to not only survive, but thrive. Contents from this workshop is pulled from Amber Cantorna-Wylde’s book of the same name.

Embodied Living: Tools for Those Living with Chronic Illness
Nearly 50 million Americans live with at least one autoimmune disease. Isolation, mental health struggles, medication coverage, and feeling repeatedly misunderstood are just a few of the challenges they face on a daily basis. In this workshop, participants are invited to bring all of themselves (especially the parts that are often unseen by the rest of the world). Attendees will walk away with resources, helpful tools, and a sense of reduced isolation that empowers them to continue their journey.

Radical Well-Being: An Invitation to Self-Care
An evening of music, breath, and guided conversation around what it means to care for ourselves in a world that keeps us constantly hustling.

When Your Heart Breaks: Navigating Grief and Loss
Marginalized people face unique types of grief and loss and are often more isolated through the process. This workshops addresses those differences, allows space for participants to process their own experiences and feelings, and equips them with tools to continue healing.

ARTISTIC & INTERACTIVE:

Wild and Free: An Intro to Loving Who You Are
This interactive experience incorporates personal introspection, photography, and collaboration with others to help participants overcome the barriers that hold them back. When we expose the lies we believe about ourselves, they lose their power. And when we share them with others, we create an opportunity where everyone is more free and able to be the most authentic version of themselves.

Healing Within: An Introspective Artistic Experience
Experience the power of art to unlock the healing that our hearts and souls need. This introspective activity will incorporate meditative practices with ceramic painting and invite you to build connection within yourself and with those around you to create something beautiful. No artistic experience necessary!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Vince DiCicco

Director of Celebrations, PG&E PrideNetwork

We put in some serious work together this year! Thank you so much Amber for your expertise and awesome attitude. It was a pleasure working together!

Alicia Johnston,
Author, Speaker, YouTuber

It is no exaggeration to say that the Cultivating Community retreat that Amber Cantorna-Wylde led was the most healing experience

of my life. Amber is a master at encouraging without pushing, understanding how to move a group through an experience, and bring people together in a way that facilitates deep bonding and the kind of relationships that last.

Jeremy Laurin
President, PG&E PrideNetwork

Thank you Amber! We appreciate your dedication, hard work, and energy. Working with you has been a joy. Thank you for helping us improve and for building tools that will help us for years to come.
